Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced MQ Administrator with 7+ years of
expertise in configuring, supporting, and maintaining IBM MQ or other
message queue systems. In this role, you will be responsible for
ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our messaging
environments, managing the integration of MQ systems, and
troubleshooting performance or security issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field (or equivalent practical experience).
5+ years of experience working as an MQ Administrator or in a similar
system administration role with IBM MQ or other message queue
technologies.
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting IBM MQ or similar
messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
Skilled in scripting languages like Shell, Python, PowerShell or
similar to automate tasks and improve system management.
Knowledge of securing messaging systems, including user permissions
and access controls.
Ability to analyze and optimize system performance and message flows.
Experience in configuring and maintaining backup and disaster recovery
processes for MQ systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues
in a distributed systems environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including
developers, security teams, and operations staff.


Key Responsibilities:

MQ System Administration: Install, configure, monitor, and maintain
IBM MQ or other message queue technologies.
Environment Management: Administer development, testing, and
production MQ environments to ensure high availability, security, and
performance.
Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize MQ
performance, ensuring message flow is efficient and reliable.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve system performance or connectivity
issues.
Security Management: Manage user permissions and access control
policies, ensuring proper security standards are followed for MQ
systems.
Backup & Recovery: Implement and test backup, recovery, and disaster
recovery processes for MQ systems.
Integration & Development Support: Work closely with application teams
to integrate MQ messaging solutions into their systems and assist in
resolving any integration issues.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation
for all MQ-related processes, configurations, and changes. Generate
regular performance and usage reports.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to processes,
automation, and tools to enhance messaging reliability, security, and
scalability.
