Job Title : Senior Oracle/PGSQL Database Admin and Automation Developer
Location : Initial Location: Nashville, TN (for a couple of months for Knowledge Transition)
Target Location: Raleigh, North Carolina(After 2-3 months)
Duration : 12 Months
Job Description:
· Utilize your extensive knowledge to maintain and support very large databases (up to 350TB), ensuring high availability and disaster recovery implementations using proven Oracle technologies.
· Work collaboratively within a global database and data analytical team to provide high-level database expertise for the day-to-day operations of both production and development environments.
· Implement automation strategies to improve processes and tools while maintaining compliance with established SLAs and achieving stringent MTTR targets.
· Participate in capacity planning and database performance optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
· Contribute to innovative database solutions and participate in the certification of database products.
· Engage with various business streams to host Trading, Clearing, Regulatory, and Financial systems, translating complex technical requirements into tangible outcomes.
Qualifications:
· 8+ years of experience in Database Administration, primarily focused on Oracle environments.
· Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Azure Cloud, DevOps practices, and programming languages including Python.
· Strong knowledge of Unix and familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
· Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
· Demonstrated experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters, Data Guard, and Golden Gate for high availability solutions.
· Experience with automation frameworks for database management.
· Recognition for a problem-solving mindset with the capability to analyze issues and design effective solutions.
