Job Description:
Seeking a Cloud ML/AI Operations Architect to lead the design and management of scalable ML/AI infrastructure in AWS. You will drive MLOps, AIOps, and LLMOps strategy, infrastructure automation, and governance frameworks across a regulated pharmaceutical data science environment. This is a high-impact role shaping the ML/AI ecosystem to support science-led innovations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain scalable ML/AI cloud infrastructure (AWS) in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Automate infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript), Projen, ArgoCD, and other DevOps tools.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (K8s) for ML workloads; guide use of Argo, Kubeflow, and Airflow.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, GMLP, and internal ML/AI governance frameworks.
- Lead cost-performance evaluations of foundation models and AWS GenAI services.
- Drive operational excellence through system design, scalability, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, science, and security teams.
Required Skills:
- 9+ years in cloud infrastructure, ML/AI operations, and DevOps (AWS focused).
- Strong command of AWS services: SageMaker, Bedrock, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and monitoring tools.
- Deep knowledge of Typescript, AWS CDK, Projen, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in ML/AI model deployment, orchestration, and data science lifecycle (DSLC).
- Strong understanding of foundation models, cost-benefit analysis, and performance metrics.
- Skilled in API design, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud-native architecture.
