Role: Data Engineer with Strong MongoDB
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 12 Months Contract
A hands-on developer who:
- Has strong experience with MongoDB (especially with data modeling and data ingestion).
- Can build and manage scalable database systems using MongoDB.
- Is capable of writing efficient queries and integrating MongoDB into applications.
- Can work with other teams (like developers and data engineers).
- Understands testing, performance tuning, and best practices for database design and security.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.
Key Skills to Look For in a Candidate
- MongoDB (must-have)
- Programming Languages (commonly JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or Java)
- Data Ingestion Tools – ETL tools, custom scripts, or data pipelines
- API Integration – experience working with RESTful APIs or third-party services
- Testing – unit testing, integration testing, performance testing for databases
- Collaboration/Teamwork – experience working cross-functionally with developers and stakeholders
Skill (Preferred)
- Snowflake
- Experience working with Snowflake for data warehousing
- Data migration or hybrid database environments (MongoDB + Snowflake)
