SAP Master Data Lead
Oakland, CA-Remote-PST work hours with occasional travel

Role Description:
- As an SAP Master Data Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of master data within the SAP system, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the organization.
- You will lead a team of master data specialists and collaborate with various departments to implement and maintain data governance processes.
- Your expertise in SAP and data management will be critical in driving efficiency and improving data-related business processes.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Develop and implement master data management strategies and policies within the SAP environment.
- Hands on experience with Transactional Data and experience with data migration cockpit
- Lead the master data team in creating, updating, and maintaining master data records in compliance with data governance standards.-
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and resolve data-related issues in SAP modules.-
- Conduct regular data quality checks, audits, and cleansing activities to ensure data accuracy and consistency.-
- Develop and conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of master data processes.-
- Monitor data maintenance activities and ensure adherence to data security and confidentiality protocols.-
- Analyze data-related challenges and provide actionable insights to optimize business processes.-
- Collaborate with IT teams to support data migration and integration projects.-
- Stay up-to-date with SAP advancements and industry best practices in master data management.-
- Continuously improve and streamline master data processes to enhance overall data quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.-
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in SAP master data management, preferably in a leadership role.-
- Strong understanding of SAP ERP systems, including modules like SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or other relevant SAP solutions.-
- Excellent knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, and data lifecycle processes.-
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team, with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.-
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies to identify trends, anomalies, and data improvement opportunities.-
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.-
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.-
- Ability to work independently and proactively propose data-driven solutions to business challenges.- SAP certification(s) in Master Data Management or related fields will be a plus.
