Technical Skills:
- Experience working with Software engineers and solution architects.
- Project management experience working with software engineering teams in an agile environment
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS), Confluence
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Uses knowledge of software engineering and business acumen to guide cross-functional teams in the execution of projects.
- Manages multiple projects concurrently.
- Serves as the principal communicator with external and internal stakeholders regarding project status.
- Defines program scope with program success indicators to reap benefits of the program within a defined timeframe.
- Uses Agile program management methodology as relevant to the program execution. Follow the latest industry execution practices and processes (e.g, DevOps, Continuous Integration – Continuous Delivery) for the highest velocity and innovation.
- Prioritizes program requirements working with Product Owner or other stakeholders.
- Manages the expectation of stakeholders across the program
- Provides regular updates to Business stakeholders and consumers of program deliverables.
- Creates and manages dependencies across all active projects. Collaborate across the program to leverage diverse thoughts and ideas.
- Logs and reviews program risks with stakeholders and take timely action to mitigate or eliminate risks
Typical Day
- Manages the work of system architects in their efforts to create architecture solutions and designs (These solutions cover different areas and technologies).
- Manages proofs-of-concept (PoC), technology evaluations, and Systems Engineering work.
- Captures and documents critical decisions, and meeting minutes based on architect's discussions with product management and engineering teams.
- Ensures the quality of the deliverables from the architecture team
- Manages the timelines and dependencies for the architecture team
- Hosts peer and formal review meetings with technical teams Candidates local to Chicago preferred for Remote hybrid starting day 1, one day a week in office). 100% remote may be available for rockstar candidate, please note preference at top of the resume
Education Requirements:
- The position requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university
Soft Skills:
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Able to work confidently with high performing system architects
- Able to speak confidently to the architecture solutions at a high-level
- Able to manage requests from multiple teams with minimal direction and coaching
