ETL Test Engineer Duration: Contract or CTH Location: Remote Note: Candidates need to have both strong Data Testing/ETL testing expertise, SQL, and Automation experience using Java, Selenium, Postman etc. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities, including: - Actively participate in agile ceremonies, providing accurate and timely feedback regarding both the process and the product.
- Collect and create test data for both functional and non-functional testing.
- Coordinate testing activities with other QA engineers and their teams.
- Create and maintain/update test plans and test cases to execute them in accordance with the SDLC in an agile environment.
- Enforce quality standards of infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies
- Ensure quality and consistency across different applications and environments which interact between them.
- Ensure quality of data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our products into innovative industry leaders
- Execute automated tests (already created) to ensure the overall quality after new changes are introduced.
- Help to triage and escalate issues based on their severity when needed.
- Interact with the team and stakeholders to understand project/product requirements.
- Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions
- Provide timely and precise information about the testing activities and their outcome.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have: - 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance positions
- Agile Methodology Oriented
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software Development or related
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Git, Postman, JMeter, etc.
- Experience with REST/SOAP API testing
- Experience writing clear and concise test plans and test cases (using test design techniques) for web/responsive apps
- Exposure to data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Strong knowledge on QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Strong working knowledge of SQL/No-SQL, databases, query authoring as well as working with a variety of data repositories: data lake, data Warehouse, Data mart.
- Automation knowledge with tools such as selenium, and/or cypress, Rest-Assure, or others
- Hands-on experience with test automation
- Good knowledge of SQL and Scripting
- Proven work experience in software development
Desired skills: - Experience working with financial software is a plus
- ISTQB or other certification is a plus
- Security/Performance testing experience is a plus
