Must Have Skills:
. Minimum 5+ Years of IBM WebSphere Commerce Development or Support Experience
. Minimum 5+ Years of experience in production support for a customer facing ecommerce application
. Strong experience in problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
. Excellent written and oral communication skills
. Ecommerce B2B and B2C functional knowledge
. Experience in using tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, IBM memory analyzer and other application monitoring / diagnosis tools
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
. Lead for the WCS Support Operations team , managing the team end to end and ensuring site availability
. Ensure Monitoring and reporting application performance metrics using tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk. Ensure incidents are resolved within agreed SLA.
. Evaluate and increase application software effectiveness by suggesting best practices and identify performance improvement opportunities.
. Collaborate and work closely with business analysts, development teams and team members to provide IT and business-specific knowledge and expertise, and create solutions that are aligned with business directives.
. Create reusable knowledge articles, how to guides for commonly occurring issues.
. Provide solutions for recurring problems and track to closure.
. Participate in application design discussions and Knowledge transfer sessions.
WAS Admin :
Monitoring :
(1) the performance of Customer's web hosting environment;
(2) throughput for performance and resource availability threshold breaches and take appropriate action;
(3) Application transactions, including transaction throughput and Application response times using automated procedures;
(4) web servers;
(5) highly utilized disk and growth across file Systems associated with web Servers;
(6) HTTP response time (for designated HTTP URLs);
(7) load balancing and response to Internet page requests; and
(8) URL process availability such as out-of-bounds conditions.
Operations :
(9) install, modify (configure), maintain, support, and administer Web Application Server Middleware Software, including: WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS, Apache, WebLogic, Java Web Server, JBoss, etc.;
(10) support Application Server Middleware Software Infrastructure including support of the software configuration, load balancing, certificates, associated resources, etc.;
(11) Support Customer Equipment, Software and Support utilities for analysis and reporting of Internet Application activity and End User behavior from log files;
(12) provide Internet Server installation, support, configuration, monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, release management, and security update Services for Internet Servers, including Internet Information Server and Apache;
(13) provide intelligent load balancing support that includes installation, configuration, monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, release management, and security update Services for Internet, Web and Application load balancing in a highly available configuration;
(14) engage with Customer architects (business facing and technology facing) to ensure design meets business requirements and is optimized for ongoing middleware support;
(15) operate and maintain any monitoring and administration tools necessary for maintaining optimal health and performance of Web Application Server and Middleware Environments;
(16) perform PoC's with application owners as necessary to validate performance and functionality of new Web Server Middleware features and versions;
(17) perform Web Server Middleware Software startup, shutdown and application context deployments as necessary;
(18) collect and analyze performance and utilization data and tune the Web Server Software configurations to maintain efficiency;
(19) tune transaction load balancing across Java Application Servers;
(20) provide, manage, and support web security certificates used to secure confidential sessions ("SSL") for internet and intranet transactions and communications as required by Customer;
(21) provide Infrastructure and support utilities for analysis and reporting of web Application activity and user behavior from log files;
(22) configure and tune data caching services between related web Servers.
(23) install, upgrade, maintain and configure Web Server Software patches and upgrades;
(24) assist in the testing associated with patches and security updates to Web Server Software releases;
(25) maintain accurate documentation on the inventory and logical Configuration of Web Server Middleware Software, including all versions, installation locations, partner contacts, load balancing and resources; and
(26) provide Level 2 Support and Level 3 Support for Web Server Middleware Software on all technical platforms.
