Job Description:
Senior Data Operations Engineer responsible for production support, operational stability, batch pipelines, incident management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across enterprise data platforms.
Experience: 8+ Years
Core Skills:
- Programming / Data: Python, Java, Batch Pipelines, ETL/ELT, Apache Spark
- AWS: AWS Glue (Jobs, Crawlers, Catalog), S3, RDS
- Big Data: Cloudera Hadoop, HDFS, Impala
- Databases: Oracle, OLTP, SQL/Query Performance Tuning
- Cloud: AWS, GCP
- BI / Application: Tableau, Power BI, Tomcat
- DevOps / Operations: Git, Pull Requests, Code Reviews, CI/CD, ITIL, Incident/Change/Problem Management, Security Vulnerability Management
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor, support, troubleshoot, and optimize batch jobs and data engineering pipelines.
· Develop and troubleshoot Python and Java code supporting batch/pipeline operations.
· Support ETL/ELT pipelines and AWS Glue jobs, crawlers, catalogs, and workflows.
· Support S3 data lakes, RDS, Oracle/OLTP systems, and query performance.
· Troubleshoot Cloudera/Hadoop, HDFS, Impala, and Spark workloads.
· Support Tableau and Power BI reporting and Tomcat application infrastructure.
· Participate in production on-call rotation, incident/change/problem management, and senior-level escalations.
· Perform code reviews, pull-request reviews, production readiness/gate reviews, and release validations.
· Manage Git workflows, dependencies, security vulnerabilities, upgrades, and application/pipeline lifecycle.
· Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve production issues.
Preferred / Good-to-Have:
· AWS, GCP, or Cloudera certifications.
· Automotive/manufacturing experience.
· Docker, OpenShift, Terraform, DevSecOps.
· CI/CD security, vulnerability scanning, secrets management.
· Microsoft Entra ID / IBM ISAM.
