Java Apigee Developer Location: Charlotte, NC Job Type: Contract Work Arrangement: Onsite Experience: 12+ Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Java Apigee Developer to design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise-grade APIs and microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Apigee API Management along with Java/Spring Boot development. The candidate will be responsible for building secure, scalable APIs, developing API proxies and policies in Apigee, integrating backend Java services, and troubleshooting API performance and production issues. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Apigee API proxies, shared flows, policies, and API products. • Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. • Build RESTful APIs and integrate APIs with enterprise applications and backend systems. • Implement Apigee policies including OAuth 2.0, API Key, JWT, quota, spike arrest, rate limiting, caching, mediation, and security policies. • Develop reusable API components and establish API standards and governance. • Integrate Apigee with Java-based microservices and enterprise backend systems. • Troubleshoot API failures, latency, authentication, routing, and integration issues. • Monitor API performance, traffic, errors, and availability. • Work with development, QA, DevOps, security, and architecture teams. • Participate in API design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support. • Implement CI/CD pipelines for Apigee and Java applications. • Document API specifications, integrations, configurations, and technical designs.
