Role: Senior Java Technical Lead Duration: 12 Months Location: Remote (EST Only) Role and Responsibilities: The Senior Java Spring Developer / Technical Lead will serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. The role will lead the development of Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, scalable backend services, and Python-based applications, automation, and integration solutions. The individual will provide technical direction to the engineering team, conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor developers throughout the full software development lifecycle. The role will also manage work allocation and priorities, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, and track project risks, dependencies, timelines, and resource requirements. In addition, the Technical Lead will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders; support Azure cloud-native deployments; drive CI/CD and DevOps automation; and act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues. The role also includes participation in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and team member career development. Skillset Summary • Core Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and Python • Backend Engineering: Secure, scalable, high-performance enterprise application and service development • Python Capabilities: Application development, API development, automation scripting, and system integration • Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, cloud-native deployment, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and engineering automation • Architecture & Design: Enterprise application architecture, solution design, and scalable cloud application delivery • Engineering Governance: Code reviews, coding standards, development best practices, and engineering excellence • Delivery Methodologies: Agile delivery, full software development lifecycle management, risk tracking, and dependency management • Leadership: Technical leadership, team management, mentoring, recruitment, onboarding, and stakeholder collaboration • Experience Expectations: 8+ years in software development, including 5+ years in Java/Spring and 2+ years in a Team Lead or Technical Lead capacity.
