Local To PA only Role: Sr. Java Spring Boot Developer Duration: 12 Month Location: West Chester, PA – (Fully Onsite) Job Description – Java Spring Boot / Microservices Engineer Role Overview: Seeking a strong backend engineer with hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot) and microservices architecture, along with exposure to BDD-based testing (Python Behave) and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot. • Contribute to API design, integration, and performance optimization across distributed systems. • Participate in backlog refinement, solution design, and sprint deliverables. • Collaborate with QA teams to support BDD-based test automation using Python Behave. • Ensure adherence to coding standards, CI/CD practices, and version control using GitHub. • Leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and code quality. • Contribute to problem-solving, defect resolution, and production support as needed. Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot. • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and service decomposition. • Experience with Python Behave (BDD framework) or similar BDD tools. • Experience with Git and GitHub workflows. • Understanding of API testing, integration patterns, and debugging techniques. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Good to Have • Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools. • Experience building reusable developer utilities or accelerators. • Experience working in agile environments with strong cross-functional collaboration.
