Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Android Developer to join our client’s team in Chicago. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level Android applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following Android best practices
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when needed
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries/services
- Ensure application security, reliability, and performance standards are met
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 12–15 years of overall software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Android application development
- Expertise in Java and Kotlin
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and mobile application architecture
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
- Strong knowledge of MVVM/MVC architecture patterns
- Experience with Git/version control systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Experience working on enterprise or customer-facing mobile applications
