Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Healthcare domain, specifically in Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), and Appeals. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving product vision, managing backlogs, and supporting implementation initiatives for healthcare systems.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong stakeholder communication and hands-on involvement in implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Product Owner for healthcare applications, driving product vision and roadmap
- Gather and translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Manage and prioritize product backlog aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and reviews
- Support end-to-end implementation of healthcare solutions
- Ensure alignment with UM (Utilization Management), CM (Care Management), and Appeals workflows
- Validate deliverables and support UAT and production readiness
- Provide continuous feedback to improve product functionality and user experience
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as Product Owner / Business Analyst in Healthcare
- Strong experience in:
- Utilization Management (UM)
- Care Management (CM)
- Appeals & Grievances
- Hands-on experience in implementation projects
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payer-side healthcare systems
- Exposure to claims, enrollment, or provider workflows
- Prior experience working with large healthcare clients
- Certifications like CSPO / SAFe PO (nice to have)
