Mainframe Developer
Duration: 1+ year contract
PR: $50 C2C
Location: 100% remote - highly prefer PST time zone
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements for Mainframe application enhancements and development initiatives
- Coordinate solution design activities and support overall application architecture planning
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement Mainframe application code
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of Mainframe solutions
- Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization activities
- Support system integrations, maintenance activities, and modernization efforts within Mainframe environments
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Mainframe applications
- Advanced knowledge of Mainframe architectures and enterprise Mainframe environments
- Must have prior state/government experience
- Advanced understanding of Mainframe hardware platforms
- Strong experience with COBOL and Mainframe/Cobol Rules Mining
- Experience supporting full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
