If you’re skills match the job description, please share your updated resume along with your location and expected rate so that I can get in touch with you for further process Role: Senior SQL Server DBA Locations: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Contract F2F Interview MUST For Local Candidates Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3-4 Days every week. Local or candidates from adjacent states only. Role Summary: • Acts as a bridge between database and infrastructure teams, ensuring SQL Server environments are correctly configured, performant, and ready for AG based migration execution. Key Responsibilities Validate infrastructure readiness for SQL Server workloads: • Storage configuration (data/log/tempdb separation) • Disk latency and throughput • VM sizing (CPU, memory) Diagnose performance issues related to: • IO bottlenecks • CPU contention • Network latency Validate and troubleshoot: • Windows Failover Clusters • AG connectivity and endpoints • Listener and DNS configurations • Assist in AG migration execution and performance monitoring • Analyze SQL waits and correlate with infra metrics Work closely with infra teams to resolve: • Storage performance issues • Network/firewall delays • Cluster misconfigurations • Contribute to automation of validation and health checks Required Skills: • Strong SQL Server DBA experience (HA/DR + performance) Good understanding of: • Windows Failover Clustering • Virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper V/Azure) Ability to interpret: • Disk latency (ms) • CPU ready / contention • Network throughput • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Experience in cross team (infra + DBA) collaboration Nice to Have: • Exposure to SAN / storage architecture • Experience troubleshooting performance in virtualized environments • Monitoring tools experience (SentryOne, OEM, etc.)" In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $30 – $45/hr. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
