Must Have Domain: Hospitability, Hotels and Resort Technology Job Description: • We are seeking an experienced Sustainment Engineer & Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud-native application development on AWS. • This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, security, and performance of enterprise applications by providing Level 2 and Level 3 (L2/L3) production support. • The position involves rapid incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution across Java/Spring Boot backend services, Angular front-end applications, and AWS-based cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities: • Include proactive monitoring and observability, alert management, meeting SLA/SLO commitments, supporting CI/CD releases, and driving continuous reliability and performance improvements. • The role also requires identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities, supporting patching initiatives, and ensuring compliance through close collaboration with Development, DevOps, QA, and Security teams. • Strong communication skills are essential, as the role includes active participation in client calls and regular interaction with client stakeholders. Roles & Responsibilities: Application Development & Architecture: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Java 17, Spring Boot, Angular, and related technologies. • Build and expose RESTful APIs for system integrations and front-end consumption. • Architect and enhance cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and IAM. • Implement messaging and event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka. Production Support & Operations: • Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications, ensuring rapid incident triage, effective root cause analysis, and timely resolution within defined SLAs. • Support and troubleshoot cloud-native applications on AWS, addressing issues related to compute, storage, networking, IAM, scalability, and environment configuration. • Support planned releases and CI/CD deployments, coordinating with Development, QA, and DevOps teams during incidents, changes, and release cycles. • Participate in client calls, providing clear updates, technical explanations, and resolution status to stakeholders. Monitoring, Observability & Performance: • Implement and manage monitoring and observability solutions, including log analysis, metrics, and alerts using AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics, and other APM platforms. • Proactively identify performance, reliability, and capacity issues, and implement preventive and corrective actions. • Ensure ongoing compliance with SLA/SLO targets and continuously drive improvements in system reliability and operational efficiency. Security & Compliance: • Identify, assess, and remediate application and infrastructure security vulnerabilities. • Support patching and vulnerability remediation activities in alignment with security and compliance requirements. • Collaborate closely with Security teams to maintain a secure, compliant, and resilient production environment. Data Management & DevOps: • Write efficient, optimized queries and manage data storage across relational and NoSQL databases. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support continuous integration and delivery. • Ensure application reliability and performance through effective monitoring and continuous optimization. Collaboration & Documentation: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product, to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines. • Document technical solutions and operational processes. • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team. In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $30 – $45/hr.
