Role: QA Engineer Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months Responsibilities: Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Karate framework for API testing and Selenium WebDriver for UI testing (web and mobile). Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and UAT testing to ensure application functionality matches specifications. Framework Improvement: Enhance existing automation frameworks (Java/Python) and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Docker). Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and reproduce software defects in tools like Jira or Trello. Requirement Analysis: Review technical design documents and user requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test scenarios. API Testing: Perform RESTful API testing, focusing on JSON validation, response status codes, and security, using Karate. Requirements: Experience: Generally 3–8 years of experience in both manual and automation testing, with specific experience in Karate and Selenium. Languages: Strong proficiency in Java or Python. API Tools: Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and tools like Karate, Postman, or SOAPUI. UI Tools: Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Methodologies: Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams. Database: Proficiency in writing SQL queries for database validation. Strong analytical skills for identifying edge cases. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams (developers, Product Owners). Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $30 – $45/hr. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
