Job Overview
- We are hiring a Senior Java Developer to work on modernizing APIs for a healthcare (HCP) platform.
- The role involves transforming legacy systems into consumer‑ready APIs, enabling streaming data access, and supporting a single source of truth across multiple benefit systems.
- This is a hands‑on development role working with both onshore and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Java-based backend services Transform existing APIs into consumer-facing APIs for an API Marketplace
- Support stream-based data access for healthcare provider (HCP) consumers
- Build APIs that consolidate data from multiple benefit information systems
- Develop Graph-based APIs (GraphQL / Graph SQL-style) as part of the new architecture
- Work with Kafka or streaming technologies for real-time data processing
- Collaborate with frontend teams when needed (Angular exposure is a plus)
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and production support
Mandatory Skills (Must Have)
- Strong hands-on experience in Java Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
- Solid experience in REST API development and integration
- Good understanding of backend systems and data flows
- Experience with Kafka or event streaming
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to GraphQL or graph-based APIs
- Basic knowledge of AngularJS
- Prior experience in healthcare or HCP platforms
