Job Description:
We're seeking a hands‑on Wi‑Fi Operations Engineer to support large‑scale wireless, authentication, and routing environments. You'll lead real‑time break/fix in live production, evolve automation with Ansible and Python, and partner across Ops, NOC, and Engineering to keep Wi‑Fi services highly available and resilient.


Key Responsibilities:
"• Perform break/fix troubleshooting across Wi‑Fi core and AAA environments in live production.
• Support AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) services hosted on Linux, including authentication flow triage.
• Troubleshoot routing/switching (Layers 1–7), DNS, DHCP, and IPv6; analyze live packet flows.
• Operate and troubleshoot wireless controllers, load balancers, and broadband network edge platforms.
• Develop, execute, and improve automation using Ansible runbooks and Python scripting.
• Manage/troubleshoot Linux servers, BNGs (Ciena), and WAGs (Nokia); support public SSID broadcasting to keep mobile customers on network.
• Contribute to Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 upgrades and security mitigation/script initiatives.
• Engage in anomaly detection using radar‑based tools and collaborate closely with NOC and partner teams.
• Maintain crisp incident documentation, status updates, and post‑incident reviews."


What are the Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position?
"Required Qualifications
• Experience in Wi‑Fi or network operations with direct break/fix ownership in live environments (NOC/call center/carrier experience a plus).
• Strong routing/switching fundamentals; deep OSI model knowledge (up to L7) and solid L1 understanding.
• DNS, DHCP, IPv6, and packet‑flow troubleshooting proficiency.
• Working knowledge of AAA concepts and Linux command‑line operations.
• At least 1 year of automation with Ansible and/or Python.
• Clear communicator and collaborative 'team‑first' mindset.
• Education: Equivalent experience valued; bachelor's + 1–2 years NOC experience considered well‑rounded.

Preferred Qualifications
• Carrier/ISP operations background; experience with broadband edge.
• Vendor‑agnostic wireless controller skills (e.g., Ruckus, Cisco, Aruba).
• Load balancing and GSLB familiarity (e.g., A10, Anycast).
• Observability tooling (Grafana, Splunk, Netscout) and strong service documentation habits.
• Relevant networking/wireless certifications.

Work Model & On‑Call

Standard business hours with on‑call rotation via xMatters. Primarily on‑site with limited WFH flexibility based on team policy.
