JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary: The Product Owner/Product Manager for Financial
Crime Risk Management (FCRM) solutions will be responsible for leading
the development and enhancement of financial crime compliance (FCC)
products. This role ensures that the product meets regulatory
requirements, industry standards, and client expectations by
collaborating with internal stakeholders, clients, and
cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in
anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, sanctions screening,
and regulatory compliance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Product Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate the strategic
vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with financial crime compliance
trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market analysis to
identify customer challenges, emerging risks, and competitive
positioning in the financial crime compliance space.
• Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards: Stay updated on FCC
regulations (e.g., BSA, AMLD, FATF, OFAC, FinCEN) and ensure product
features align with compliance requirements.
• Backlog Management & Prioritization: Own and manage the product
backlog, ensuring feature development aligns with client priorities
and business objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between
customers, development teams, and business stakeholders to gather
requirements, validate use cases, and ensure seamless product
delivery.
• Feature Definition & Development: Work with development teams to
define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical
specifications for new product enhancements and integrations.
• Customer & User Experience Focus: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to
enhance the usability and effectiveness of interfaces and workflows.
• Performance Monitoring: Define and track product KPIs to measure
effectiveness, adoption, and compliance accuracy. Use data-driven
insights to drive product improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and
professional services teams to ensure successful go-to-market
strategies and customer onboarding.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, Computer
Science, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Experience: 6+ years of product management experience in financial
crime compliance (FCC), AML, fraud detection, or regulatory technology
(RegTech).
• Technical & Compliance Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of financial crime risk management, AML
solutions, and transaction monitoring platforms.
o Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as BSA, AMLD, KYC, and
sanctions compliance.
o Experience working with AI-driven AML solutions, behavioral
analytics, and risk-scoring models.
• Agile & Product Development Experience:
o Proven experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
o Expertise in writing user stories, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret financial
crime patterns and compliance risks using data-driven insights.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management:
o Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey product
vision, requirements, and strategic roadmaps.
o Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external customers,
including financial institutions, regulators, and compliance officers.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications: ACAMS, CFE, ICA Diploma in AML, or equivalent
financial crime compliance certifications.
• Technical Proficiency:
o Experience with AML and fraud detection platforms, including
transaction monitoring, case management, and sanctions screening
systems.
o Familiarity with data analytics tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau
for compliance reporting.
o Knowledge of cloud-based FCC solutions and API-driven integrations.
• Experience with Financial Institutions: Prior experience working
with banks, fintech companies, or regulatory agencies in a
compliance-focused role.
