Professionals Inc. We are sourcing for a "Risk Data Functional Lead"
role located at "Jersey City, NJ" and it's a long-term contract with
possible extensions.



Role: Risk Data Analyst Lead with Risk and Regulatory Experience
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Fully onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary interface between risk business stakeholders and
data/IT teams for requirement gathering and functional analysis.
Lead the documentation and translation of business requirements into
functional and data specifications.
Support design and testing of data solutions related to market,
credit, and liquidity risk.
Analyze existing data sources, define data mappings, and guide
source-to-target documentation.
Drive data quality and validation efforts to ensure accuracy and
integrity of risk data.
Work closely with data architects and engineers to ensure solutions
align with enterprise data strategy.
Assist in creating business rules, use cases, test scenarios, and
user acceptance testing (UAT).
Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide updates on requirements,
testing progress, and risks.
Help standardize risk data processes and documentation across the
POD.



Required Skills & Experience:

5–9 years of experience in a functional/business analyst or data
lead role within financial services, preferably in risk or regulatory
domains.
Strong understanding of risk data domains including market risk,
credit risk, or liquidity risk.
Experience writing functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs, and
source-to-target mappings.
Ability to interpret and work with large datasets using SQL, Excel,
or similar tools.
Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata
concepts.
Exposure to enterprise data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake,
Oracle, SQL Server, Tableau, Power BI).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or
related discipline.
