AWS Engineer with Terra form
Phoenix, AZ
C2C – Long Term Contract
Pay Rate :- $55 an hour on C2C
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect secure, high-performance, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and reusable templates for consistent infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud-related issues using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other monitoring tools.
- Ensure security and compliance of AWS infrastructure according to industry standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks).
- Manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFront, and API Gateway.
- Optimize cloud costs through effective resource tagging, rightsizing, and monitoring.
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Stay updated with AWS best practices and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.
- 2+ years of strong Terraform experience, including writing custom modules and managing state files.
- Proficient in AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront, and Route 53.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- AWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with Ansible, Packer, or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architecture.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments. Experience in multi-account AWS setups and AWS Organizations
