Job Description:
As an Apigee Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing API proxies using Google's Apigee platform (Edge or X). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing API solutions that integrate seamlessly across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities-
- Design and develop API proxies and policies using Apigee.
- Implement reusable shared flows for security, transformation, logging, and error handling
- Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to integrate APIs with enterprise applications.
- Monitor and enhance API performance, security, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues across environments.
- Create and maintain API documentation and developer support materials
- Manage the full lifecycle of APIs including versioning, deprecation, and retirement.
- Utilize analytics to generate actionable insights and optimize API usage
Required Qualifications-
- 5+ years of experience in API development and management, preferably with Apigee Edge or ApigeeX
- Proficiency in RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Strong understanding of API security protocols (OAuth, JWT, TLS).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Bitbucket
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Postman and monitoring tools like Sumologic.
