Professionals Inc. We are sourcing for a "GCP Security SME" role located
at "Seattle, WA" and it's a long-term contract with possible extensions.



Role: Security SME-GCP
Locations: Seattle, WA (Fully Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract



Must have skills:
GCP Security and Network services & tools
Chronicle
Wiz
Python Programming



Job Description:

Cloud Security Architecture & Engineering:

Design and implement security architectures for GCP environments,
including IAM, VPC security, encryption, and firewall rules.
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for
GCP workloads.
Implement and manage GCP-native security tools such as Security
Command Center, Cloud Armor, and Cloud DLP.

Identity & Access Management:

Configure and manage IAM roles, service accounts, and policies to
enforce least privilege access.
Integrate identity providers (PIngID) with GCP for secure
authentication and SSO.

Monitoring, Detection & Incident Response

Set up and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools
like Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Chronicle.
Investigate and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in
GCP environments.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO
27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
Conduct risk assessments and security reviews of GCP services and
applications.

DevSecOps & Automation:

Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud
Build, Terraform, and security scanners.
Automate security controls and remediation using scripting (Python,
Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).



Preferred Skills:

GCP certifications ( Professional Cloud Architect, Professional
Security Architect ).
Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like
Jenkins or GitActions
