Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in Java and Kotlin to join a high-performing engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of robust, scalable software solutions within a service-oriented architecture. Prior experience in the financial industry is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, deployment, and testing of core systems and services
- Collaborate on shaping technical architecture and software design
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions and user stories
- Build and maintain highly available, scalable services in a production environment
- Mentor and support other engineers to uphold a strong technical culture
- Contribute ideas for new features, architecture, and tools
- Engage in regular communication with cross-functional teams
- Support live services and participate in periodic on-call rotations
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 4+ years of hands-on programming experience with modern technologies
- 2+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala
- Strong understanding of relational databases and ORM frameworks
- Experience with microservices or service-oriented architectures
- Solid grasp of Spring framework and PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working in a Kubernetes environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Strong ownership mindset from project initiation to deployment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in personal finance or experience with investments/loans
- Experience scaling high-availability, mission-critical systems
- Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Docker, and POSIX
- Exposure to front-end technologies like JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Previous experience in the fintech or financial services industry
