Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Locations: Sunnyvale, CA


Job Description:

  • Partner with various IT teams, facility groups, and technology vendors to deploy and decommission network infrastructure globally.
  • Work with various facility project managers to setup new large-scale offices, campuses, labs, etc. based on business requirements.
  • Follow and update documentation and templates thoroughly to maintain standards.
  • Partner and work with different IT groups to obtain knowledge in new technologies, setup, and architecture related topics.
  • Document new operational issues and solutions from field and transfer knowledge to team members.
  • Provision and maintain health of Network infrastructure in different data centers.
  • Administer Cisco (Routing, Switching, Wireless) and SDWAN infrastructure.
  • Adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff to execute the IT strategy in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new methods and tools as appropriate.
  • Support in deploying other areas of technology (Network Access Control, Firewalls, VPN, and SNMP based monitoring).
  • Support Network and Firewall OS patching, monitoring and alerting.

 

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • 9 years+ support in Network and IT Security
  • Cisco or similar Certifications – Cisco CCNP or similar
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Cisco Routing, Switching (Catalyst and Nexus), Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Network Proxies.
  • TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPS, SDWAN, DMVPN, NAC and 802.1x deployment.
  • Experience in Python scripting, Ansible automation or similar technology is a huge plus.
