Role: IBM Sterling consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain file transfer solutions such as IBM Sterling, MOVEit, or GoAnywhere.
Develop secure file transfer workflows to meet internal and external data exchange requirements.
Monitor file transfer environments, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt issue resolution.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of file transfer solutions.
Document configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting procedures for file transfer processes.
Ensure compliance with data security standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS) in all file transfer activities.
Support system migrations and upgrades involving file transfer technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in managing secure file transfer systems.
Hands-on expertise in protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS.
Proficiency in scripting for file automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
Solid understanding of data security, encryption, and network protocols.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with cloud file transfer tools (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage).
Experience with middleware and integration tools to enhance data workflows.
Strong organizational and communication skills for managing multiple stakeholders.
