Job title: Atlassian Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term
Assessment and Discovery
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the client's Jira and Atlassian setup, including integrations and workflows.
Gather and document requirements from stakeholders.
Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement areas in the current setup.
Solution Design
Recommend best practices for configuration, customization, and optimization of Jira and other Atlassian tools.
Propose strategies for scaling, migration (if applicable), and performance optimization.
Design workflows and processes to enhance productivity and collaboration.
Implementation and Support (Optional, based on scope)
Configure and customize Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports as needed.
Provide hands-on support for integrating Atlassian tools with other systems.
Deliver training and documentation to end-users and administrators.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with client stakeholders, including IT teams and leadership.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
Maintain clear communication throughout the engagement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Atlassian Consultant or similar role.
Expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Experience with Atlassian Cloud and/or on-premises environments.
Proficiency in creating and optimizing workflows, custom fields, and dashboards.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and ITSM methodologies.
Familiarity with integrations between Atlassian products and other platforms.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira Administrator, Jira Service Management).
Experience with data migration between Atlassian environments.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Groovy) for automation within Jira.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards for enterprise environments.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
