Data Governance Lead

Role Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Architect with 12+ years of experience to establish and manage data governance for our Databricks-based platform. You will ensure data quality, security, and stewardship across multiple business processes, using Microsoft Purview as the governance tool.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement data governance frameworks aligned with business and compliance requirements.
• Data Stewardship: Define roles and processes to ensure data integrity and high quality.
• Data Quality: Establish data quality metrics and rules, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
• Data Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and secure data access.
• Purview Expertise: Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing, lineage, and governance workflows to enhance data transparency.
• Policy Development: Create and enforce data governance policies and standards.
• Collaboration: Work with business, IT, and data teams to integrate governance practices across the organization.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, and security, preferably on cloud-based platforms like Databricks.
• Expertise in Microsoft Purview or similar governance tools.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and data quality management.
• Experience in defining and managing data stewardship programs.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and data modelling.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
