Java Technical Lead

Woodland Hills, CA – Onsite

12 Month Contract

Key Responsibilities:

·         Program Architecture: Lead the architectural design of software solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

·         Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, defining project scope and developing comprehensive project plans.

·         Development: Oversee the development process, writing clean, efficient, and testable Java code. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.

·         Testing: Implement and oversee testing strategies, ensuring thorough testing and debugging of all features before deployment.

·         Deployment: Manage the deployment of software solutions to production environments, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.

·         Software Maintenance and Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance and reliability of existing software applications.

·         Project Management: Lead project teams, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

·         Leadership and Liaison: Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.

·         Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet project requirements and deliver quality services.

·         Experience: Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role, with at least 10+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.

 

Technical Skills:

·         Expertise in Java, Java EE, and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).

·         Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

·         Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs).

·         Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) and ORM tools.

·         Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

·         Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

 

Soft Skills:

·         Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to lead and motivate teams.

·         Adaptive and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
