Location: Chicago Heights, IL / Hybrid
Duration: Long term contract
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Integration Design and Development:
o Design and develop integration solutions using MuleSoft's Any point Platform to connect various on-premises and cloud-based systems.
o Create and maintain reusable assets, components, frameworks, and libraries to be leveraged across different projects.
o Ensure that integration solutions are designed for high availability, scalability, and security.
2. API Development and Management:
o Develop and manage RESTful APIs and SOAP services using MuleSoft's API-led connectivity approach.
o Implement API policies, security, throttling, caching, logging, and monitoring using API Gateway and other tools.
o Design and document API specifications using RAML, OpenAPI, or similar standards.
3. Collaboration and Leadership:
o Collaborate with architects, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
o Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in best practices for MuleSoft development.
o Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code is well-structured, maintainable, and adheres to best practices.
4. Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
o Optimize the performance of MuleSoft integrations, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, including debugging, error handling, and logging.
o Conduct root cause analysis of integration issues and implement preventive measures.
5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
o Stay updated with the latest MuleSoft features, best practices, and industry trends.
o Continuously improve development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
o Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve integration development and deployment.
6. Documentation and Compliance:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration solutions, including design documents, API specifications, and deployment guides.
o Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and other organizational standards.
7. Testing and Deployment:
o Develop unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and quality of integration solutions.
o Work closely with DevOps teams to automate the deployment of MuleSoft applications using CI/CD pipelines.
o Support the deployment of MuleSoft solutions to different environments, including production, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Proven experience as a MuleSoft Developer, with a deep understanding of MuleSoft's Any point Platform.
o Experience in designing and developing complex integrations, APIs, and services using MuleSoft.
o Strong background in enterprise integration patterns, ESB, SOA, and microservices architecture.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in MuleSoft Any point Platform, including Any point Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
o Strong knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services, RAML, OpenAPI, and JSON.
o Experience with Java, XML, XPath, and data transformation using Data Weave.
o Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integration with cloud services.
o Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
