Desktop Engineer
Work location: San Antonio, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Execute project related tasks including discovery, design, test plan
development, trouble and delivery of completed product to operations
team
• Provide rapid response to PC system issues and outages
• Support Level I, Level II, and Field Teams
• Troubleshoot OS Deployment failures.
• LAN/WAN troubleshooting
• Develop and troubleshoot PowerShell Scripts
• Troubleshoot GPO processing issues
• Develop GPO and verify GPO setting on PC systems
• Implement PC delivery security policies
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of PC systems with cross-functional
teams to research, develop, and implement enterprise wide solutions
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Provide support for critical systems, perform scheduled maintenance,
and deployments in a 24x7 operations environment as required
• Produce technical and operational documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related technical customer support experience.
• 1+ Service Now or equivalent ticketing system experience
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 installation, configuration, and
troubleshooting
• Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wide audience
• Demonstrate a customer focused attitude
• Highly proficient with most popular software including MS-DOS,
Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, communication software,
Citrix, Anti-Virus, and Web Browsers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer and network installation,
configuration, and support.
• Experience with Microsoft Operating System deployment tools: MDT,
SCCM, OSD and Windows PE
• Ability to work in a 24x7 on-call after hour rotation environment
• Good understanding of change management
