Job Description: The Clinical Informatics Lead will be assigned to a project to open a new Community Hospital in Jenks, Oklahoma. The role will focus on clinical informatics tasks for the project, including integration testing coordination and attending all project calls for Clinical Informatics (CI). The candidate will work with internal CI Specialists who are assigned to different workgroups. The role is crucial in representing the design decisions for the project, identifying workflows, and any education needed, and supporting the new users and the new hospital around their technology.
Work Schedule: The role requires 40 hours per week, with meetings typically scheduled between 8 am to 5 pm Central Time Zone.
Location: The position is fully remote. However, if there's interest or availability for the candidate to come at the end of the project when the hospital opens, it would be considered but is not mandatory.
Top Skills Needed:
• Clinical Informatics experience
• Testing coordination experience
• Long-term Cerner EHR design experience
• Experience within Ascension is preferred
• Proactive and organized
• Good listener and asks questions when they don't understand instead of waiting for information
Education Requirement:
• Clinical background (someone with a previous or current clinical license)
• College degree of any kind
• At least five to eight years of experience in lieu of a degree
Interview Process: The interview process will be conducted on Google Meets and will primarily involve one round with the hiring manager, Jessica Moffitt. Depending on the outcome of the first interview, a second round may be scheduled.
Reporting Structure: The candidate will report to  the Clinical Informatics Director for the Department. They will work directly with four project managers with different roles for the project they're assigned to.
Contract Duration: The contract is anticipated to last for six months, with the hospital scheduled to open at the end of July or early August. The contract may end after the hospital opens and remediation is completed, or it may continue if there are other tasks the candidate can help wrap up.
Application Process: Once the role is approved, it will be released to suppliers who will have 48 hours to submit their candidates. After 48 hours, the request will be put on hold, meaning no more resumes can be submitted. The top five candidates will be shortlisted and sent to the hiring manager for review. The hiring manager will be responsible for scheduling interviews and ultimately selecting a candidate.
