Job Description:
Seeking a skilled AWS Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a 6-month contract at an office in The Woodlands, TX. As an AWS SME, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the AWS environment, ensuring efficient and secure operations. Your expertise in EKS and ELB will be crucial to the success of the cloud initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in AWS services, with a focus on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and ELB (Elastic Load Balancing).
· Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters using EKS.
· Configure and manage load balancers using ELB to ensure high availability and performance.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for cloud infrastructure and deployments.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EKS and ELB, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
· Conduct regular reviews and audits of the AWS environment to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
· Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them leverage AWS services effectively.
· Document processes, procedures, and configurations for ongoing operations and future reference.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven experience as an AWS SME, with a strong focus on EKS and ELB.
· In-depth understanding of AWS architecture, services, and best practices.
· Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
· Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including load balancing, security groups, and VPC configurations.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to AWS infrastructure and services.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Relevant AWS certifications are a plus.
