Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mulesoft Integration Architect to join our team and lead the integration efforts for a critical public sector solution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Mulesoft, and be adept at integrating a diverse set of system endpoints, primarily involving Mainframe systems (COBOL, CICS, DB2) and Java applications. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy systems and modern integration practices to ensure seamless communication and data flow between various platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design Integrations: Develop and implement integration solutions using Mulesoft to connect Mainframe systems (COBOL, CICS, DB2) and Java-based applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in integration design, development, and deployment.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Integration Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, including API-led connectivity, Mule ESB, and DataWeave.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring minimal impact on legacy systems.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design artifacts, technical specifications, and deployment guides.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for integration solutions, addressing issues related to connectivity, data transformation, and system performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that integration solutions adhere to security policies and compliance requirements, including data protection and access controls.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure successful integration project delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in integration and legacy system modernization, recommending improvements and innovative solutions.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in integration architecture and development using Mulesoft.

 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and DataWeave.
  • Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
  • Proficiency in Java programming and understanding of Java-based applications.
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, and API-led connectivity.
  • Familiarity with various integration patterns and best practices.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
