Job Title: Hyperion/ Essbase Developer

Job Location: Remote

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

Will serve as a SME in maintaining and enhancing PayPal global budgeting, forecasting & long-term planning systems. Support multiple Planning and Consolidation applications in Oracle Essbase (IaaS/PaaS) and SaaS EPM Cloud environments.
Responsible for performance tuning and optimization of Planning and Consolidation applications.
Ability to work both individually and within a team environment.
Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications.
Conduct testing, including system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation including design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
Develop Complex Business Rules in both calculation manager and Groovy.
Script using Python/Groovy/CDM APIs and utilize EPM Automate to automate data admin activities.
The Hyperion / Essbase Developer must have hands-on implementation, development and support experience, preferably gained within one or more financial institution. 
Skilled in Partitioning, automation, optimization and performance tuning of Essbase application data/metadata processing, upgrading, testing and migrating of cubes in different environment.
Update logical and physical database designs with requested or required changes
Provide input and expertise on architecting and designing system enhancements or creating new
Develop and maintain Block Storage Outline / Aggregate Storage Outline (BSO/ASO) cubes
Create and maintain data forms, calculation scripts, MAXL automation, schedule jobs using batch scripts and business rules.
Expertise in writing custom Essbase calculations scripts, MDX scripts, automated the Essbase Cubes using MaxL, Esscmds and Batch Scripts.
Prepare test cases and effectively conduct unit testing, including interacting with business users to validate results.

Top Requirements:

EPM, Oracle 19C or 21C 6+ years
Experience in Performance Optimization of Planning application which includes data load process / Business Rules / Cal script and reporting Methods.
Proficient in writing complex code in Calculation Scripts & Business Rule
Finance and Revenue background highly preferred
Financial process and functional knowledge required
