Title: - Mainframe Cloud consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term contract
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 12+ year of total IT application modernization experience in Mainframes with 5+ years' experience working in Micro Focus Enterprise Server for COBOL/Mainframe.
• Experience in Enterprise server implementation on Cloud
• Migration from mainframe to Cloud
• Strong understanding of the Micro Focus COBOL environment setup and ESCWA
• Configuration of JES Initiators and MPRs and related tuning and optimization
• SSL - Server/URL certificate implementation
• Implementing PU updates, vendor management with Micro Focus and resolve issues
• File management, Azure GIT management and progression of code to QA and prod systems
• Batch job interface consumption and implementation in schedulers like Control M, Redwood
• Finetuning the server for performance, server sizing, supporting Enterprise developer
• Batch Scripting, CICS and IMS environment setup, Knowledge on XA resources, Troubleshoot Environmental issues
• Good working knowledge of IBM Mainframe technologies - COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM and flatfiles
Preferred:
• Knowledge in FDS implementation trouble shooting, prevention and remediation, windows administration and basic Cloud operations
