Job Description :
· Monitor and optimize Netezza database performance and capacity planning
· Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability
· Create and maintain Netezza databases required for development, testing, Integration, QA and production usage
· Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases
· The DMA should work closely with Server, Backup and storage administrator to meet Backup, Hardware, Storage and Operating system requirements
· Perform ongoing analysis and tuning of the Netezza database
· Install new versions of the Netezza database and its features and any other tools that access the Netezza database
· Application code promotion and migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle if applicable
· Hands on experience with Netezza Cluster on Linux
· Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes, data and menus through the various stages of the development life cycle
· Experience of cluster configuration and OS level and database level
· Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, replication and database related Tools
· Good knowledge of physical database design and responsible for the physical database design
· Ability to perform database and operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments
· Excellent skill in High availability, replication technologies and fail over
· Netezza server configuration experience required
· Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies.
· Provides technical support to application development teams
· Having experience of DR Solution/Implementation/Execution through various sync methods.
· Designing strategy towards Capacity Management for DB tracks
· Designing Netezza Server Security (Server hardening,Auditing,compliance)
· Good knowledge of the windows and unix operating system(s)
· Netezza server HW experince C48
