In general, for any new resource we onboard should ideally have (most if not all) at least some level of understanding in the following:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and isolate technically complex issues, with little over-sight.
- Practical experience configuring and supporting CI/CD pipelines on any platform (Could be Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, …etc. Does not matter which)
- Unix/Linux Server Administration
- Bash scripting or some form of scripting
- Automation tool like Ansible/Puppet etc.
- An understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and SSL/TLS protocols
- Familiarity with REST and JSON
- Nice to have – Azure, AAD
