Summary: The Senior Developer is a member of the IT Regulatory team whose focus is supporting project-based reporting solutions for internal customers and external regulators.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developer for IT Regulatory team, work with the development manager and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and build the required technical solutions
- Work with the team to support existing functionality and build, implement and support new solutions using SQL server, Java, Python, Snowflake.
- Draft and review technical diagrams, specifications documents and required project documentation.
- Conduct code reviews of other developers.
- Share experience and knowledge with the team to improve productivity.
- Continuously seek ways to improve our existing architecture and promote efficiencies where necessary.
- Adhere to Morgan Stanley policies
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or technology discipline
- 5+ years Java and SQL development experience
- 5+ years development experience in financial services
- Strong analytical and design skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with Agile practices
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Technologies used: SQL Server, Snowflake, Java, Python
