Location: Austin, Texas 78744

Duration: 12 Months

Rate-65/hr on c2c


II.  CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

·      Degree from a four-year college or university with major in computer science, electronics, telecommunications, or related field plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in telecommunications networks.

·      Responsible for installing networking technologies and supporting networks.

·      Supports enterprise network IT infrastructure design, implementation, operational maintenance & support. Assesses existing network configurations and makes recommendations based on product and industry specifications.

·      Configures equipment and software to meet business needs, trains others on the solution, and documents the solution for ongoing support.

·      Functions as part of a team on larger projects, or individually provides the services on support visits or smaller projects.

·      Proficient with network monitoring & administration

·      Requires experience in the administration (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.). Hands on experience with IP subnetting, Telnet/SSH Clients, VoIP and MPLS technologies, and Cisco network software (COS/IOS).

·      Provides technical support and assists with the design of network solutions.

·      Texas State Agency network administrator experience

·      Experience with Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls

·      Proficient with network monitoring & administration tools such as Solar Winds, Splunk, and various Protocol Analyzers and with Microsoft Office suite including Visio.
