Job Description:
This candidate must have 5+ years of experience as an architect. This person will be responsible for a Migration from Teradata to Cloud(Azure). Experience with Azure is highly preferred. Must have excellent communication skills to talk to clients & etc. Must be open to traveling 10%
Contract Description
Lead the Teradata migration workstream
Provide architecture and design recommendations on executing Teradata exports and migration to the cloud (Azure)
Create an implementation approach and lead the team in developing scripts for execution
Work with client architects in facilitating sessions to drive design reviews and seek approvals
Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Teradata in understanding the architecture
Ability to apply performance tuning techniques for query performance
Key to have prior experience with Teradata Migrations to Cloud (close to 1PB scale)
Experience with shifting workloads to Azure Cloud and preferably Azure Synapse
Strong articulation & communication skills with the ability to clients
MUST BE OPEN to occasionally traveling to client sites (10% of the time)
