SAP FTM/Tax Lead
Work location: Hopkinsville, KY/Remote
Duration: Long term contract
RESPONSIBILITIES:
6-8+ years of SAP implementation experience
Job Description:
The SAP FICO-TAX Team Lead must have a based will be focused on implementing tax functionality and support activities of the S4 2020/ Vertex system. The Tax Team Member requires and in-depth knowledge of Global accounting business processes specifically in the areas of Withholding Tax, Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Compliance Reporting.
• Must be knowledgeable of the following Tax configuration and business scenarios
o Indirect Tax for Billing: Tax procedures, Tax codes, Tax condition records, account determination, etc.
o Integration with Vertex for Indirect Tax calculation (RFC connector for North America and Chain Flow Accelerator for APAC, EMEA, LATAM).
o Tax related fields for Master data: COA, Product Master, Business Partner
o Withholding Tax for Customer Billings
o Intercompany entries / Transfer pricing configuration
o Direct Tax reporting – Segmented P&L, etc.
o Leading/Parallel Ledger specific posting configuration
o Experience with Advance Compliance Reporting (ACR)/ Document Reporting Compliance (DRC) modules
o Preference given to resources with localization knowledge for (UK, Ireland, US, Philippines, India, Australia, New Zealand)
o Preference given to resources with E-invoicing/ E-reporting in regards to statutory regulations
o Preference given to resources with Tax set up in BRIM/ Convergent Invoicing/ FICA environment
• Additional Tasks/Responsibilities:
o Provide functional direction/management to the project team's offshore and junior resources.
o Manage work stream's team deliverables to the project schedule
o Possesses the ability to organize activities, set priorities, handle multiple tasks, make or guide client to a decision/ resolution
o Interface with functional BPOs to define the business processes and requirements that will be enabled by SAP and may be required for Functional specification documents.
o The ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere and to work with client personnel at various levels effectively is critical. Supports and helps develop power users in the business
o Supports needed audit and compliance efforts
o Supports SAP testing of S4 2020 and Vertex
o Identify critical issues, scope changes, opportunities and escalates to program management as appropriate.
o Works with cross-functional groups in the program to identify and develop solutions to business issues and opportunities in their area of expertise.
o Defines functional / technical requirements for change requests and interfaces with the development team for completion
o Supports the development of training materials and documentation, as well as provides Train the trainer- sessions as required
o Participates in the process integration and user acceptance testing (to include positive and negative security role testing). Must be able to write Integration test scripts
o Effectively manages and resolves defects.
