Field Automation Engineer
Work Location: BOSTON, MA Hybrid Mode
12+ Months
•Programming of robots based on the customer specifications document
•Lead technical discussions with the customer to support Project Managers
•Simulations of robot flows/movement to assess system performance/capability
•Installation and validation of the solution at customer sites
•Troubleshooting
•Provide customer trainings and documentation
•Collaborate with R&D to continuously improve the product (software and hardware)
IMPORTANT: . Our projects, to install autonomous forklifts on-site at a customer warehouse or manufacturing site, typically range in duration from 3 months to 9 months. We structure our field engineering deployments to be 75% on-site at the customer, and 25% back in the office in Woburn. Practically speaking, this means 3 weeks traveling to the customer, and 1 week in the office. Simulation is more typically done in the office and also performed in the office would be something not in the list, which is preparation of robots for the next project.
Regarding the 3 weeks of travel, that does not have to be continuous at the client site. Our internal engineering resources are able to travel back to Boston for the weekends.
