Job Summary :
The Sr. Oracle DBA provides ensures that all aspects of replications are defined, configured, and properly working.
Responsibilities:
• Installs and configures the Oracle Golden Gate software.
• Create macros to simplify the creation of parameter files.
• Tunes Golden Gate replication for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoots Golden Gate issues Uses logdump utility.
• Creates documentation and tracks Golden Gate issues.
• Sets up heterogenous replications
Required Skills:
• A minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Installation and configuration of Oracle Golden Gate.
• Understanding of Goldengate replications in Microservices Architecture.
• Goldengate Macros to simplify creating parameter files.
• Python/Shell scripting.
• Tuning Golden Gate replications.
• Troubleshooting Goldengate replication issues.
• Use of logdump utility.
• Create documentation for day-to-day Golden Gate issues.
• Understanding of Oracle Cloud components.
• Writing Medium to complex SQL on Oracle and MSSQL databases.
• Basic understanding of Oracle Transportation Management application is preferred.
• Setting up heterogenous replications.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools.
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience in an Agile environment
