Role : Sybase Developer
Location : Raleigh, NC (Day 1onsite)
Hiring : Contract
Mandatory Skills : Sybase , Agile/Kanban ,Database Design , Unix, Shell
Description:
Responsibilities
· Debugging and troubleshooting experience with database queries, stored procedures, triggers, shell scripts, etc.
· Participate in daily scrum calls.
· Execute and handle database objects, views, procedures, indexes and file system structure.
· Conduct knowledge transfer session for Support team prior to release.
· Assist and support production installations.
· Provide day-to-day support for production issues.
Required Skills :
· 5-7 years of relevant Sybase Developer experience preferably in the Financial industry.
· Strong experience working with waterfall and Agile/Kanban methodologies.
· Extensive experience in writing complex stored procedures and triggers.
· Good understanding of database design and normalization.
· Good experience in writing Unix and Shell scripting.
· Knowledge of Mongo DB, Oracle or Informatica an advantage.
· Experience with financial applications (revenue/expense/GL) an advantage.
· Ability to work independently and with others.
· Good communication/collaboration skills.
· Experience working with teams located in multiple sites.
· Flexible with working hours as global teams are involved.
