Job Title - MS SQL Server Developer
Location - Louisville, Kentucky (Initial Remote)

Job Description:
• 8+ years of professional MS SQL Server database development experience
• Work as a senior database developer to deliver the right product functionality by collaborating with product, developers, and hosting engineers.
• Design and develop database code (stored procedures, triggers, queries, etc.)
• Design and develop database solutions for effective data aggregation across multiple system
• Enable all database creation and updates to occur through deployment tools such as DACPAC and Octopus
• Collaborate with developers, QA, hosting engineers, support staff, and others to debug and resolve issues
• Potentially code in VB and/or C# from time to time
• Work with the team to ensure appropriate SDLC processes are followed.
• Ensure quality, performance, usability, and maintainability are built into our solutions at the right balance
• Work with other technical leaders to ensure consistency across our applications and development processes
• Communicate and coordinate effectively within the team, across our technology teams, and with our business partners to deliver on top priorities
• Occasional on call rotations will be required
Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional MS SQL Server database administration experience
• Strong experience with stored procedures, triggers, and T-SQL development skills
• Demonstrated experience with complex query tuning through indexes, table structure changes, and other methodologies
• Strong experience with SQL Server tooling (e.g. SQL Server Management Studio for query performance tuning)
• Experience with Entity Framework or other ORMs
• Experience with DACPAC
• Experience in SQL transactional Replication
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
• Experience in Database Mirroring, log shipping and DR procedures
• Experience on SSIS and SSRS to create and deploys packages and Reports
• Experience in tuning, Data conversion / Migration, Supporting Enterprise Systems
• Experience in Windows administration, PowerShell, Visual Studio (SQL Server Data Tools)
• Experience in Installation and configuration of SQL 2014, 2016 and 2019 Standard and Enterprise
• Experience with deployment methodologies such as CI/CD and Octopus
• Ability to successfully interface with business stakeholders and engineers to deliver the right solution that balances product, quality, technical, and timeline requirements
• NET development skills
• Experience using Git or GitHub
• Experience with Jira or similar tools
• Bachelor s degree in a computer related degree program or equivalent work experience.
