Exciting, Full-Time-Employee (FTE) opportunity at our direct client, a major Wall Street firm, requires a well experienced Tech Lead & Hands-On Java Developer of Financial / Investment Banking applications. The job involves leading onshore/offshore teams in the development, testing & deployment of Financial Trade Payment Systems on the Java (Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services) platform. To qualify, you must have excellent experience as a Tech Lead Developer of Financial / Investment Banking applications developed on Java platforms. As a Tech Lead Developer you will be in charge of the development, testing and delivery of application components developed by offshore and onshore teams. Very strong experience in Java (Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services) is required. Ideally, you should have been leading teams in the development and support of Financial Applications using Unix / Linux, Java, MQ, DB2/Oracle.

Duties:

Technical Lead of multiple program work streams
Lead teams of junior and mid-level developers and testers
Technically in-charge of design, development, testing, deployment, support of applications
Hands-On Development using Java (Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services)
Engage offshore vendors, ensure deliverables are met in terms of quality, reliability and timeliness

Minimum Experience Required:

2 years as a Tech Lead, leading onshore and offshore teams
6 years of experience developing Financial (Investment Banking, Wealth Mgmt, Brokerage) applications
8 years of application development experience
8 years of development experience on Java (Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, Multi-Threading, RESTful Web Services), MQ Series
2 years of Continuous Integration and Deployment
5 years of experience with one of: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase
