Role: Data Center Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL (Need local to IL candidates only) (Initial Remote for 2 months and then Hybrid onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
We are working with implement partner
Requirements: - Installation, migration and demise of IT equipment within Data Centres (To 5 years)
- Understanding of underpinning M&E relating to critical facilities (UPS, generators, RPPs etc)
- Awareness of service management techniques including Problem, Change and Incident management
- Understanding of data network and cabling technologies, principles and products
- Working knowledge of Aperture, CMS and GSD
- General overview as to how a computer room floor is laid out and how modern server, storage and network infrastructure is integrated.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
- An awareness of IT hardware, software, operations and networks.
- A track record of overseeing delivery of complex programmes and projects;
- Proven technical awareness in an IT role
- Awareness of risk management
- Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle
- Be able to enforce the quality policies and processes used in HSBC
- ITIL
- PC / Office skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes etc.)
